It is also among selected works to take part in the noncompetition section of the 18th Lisbon Animated Film Festival to be held in the Portuguese capital during March 20-31.
In this section, the world’s best animated movies, produced during 201719, will be screened. In addition, ‘The Fox’ is to be screened in the 2019 Green Mountain Film Festival, to be held in Vermont, the US, from March 22-30.
The Iranian animated film has already taken part in festivals in Spain, Italy, Canada, Serbia, Portugal, Romania, the Netherlands and Greece and has won the award for the best short animated film at the World Festival of Animated Film Varna in Bulgaria.
The animated film is about a young and agile fox which is captured by a hunter while having its first romantic experience. The hunter hangs a bell around its neck and releases it. Having returned to the forest, the fox notices that it has lost its abilities, such as hunting, to live in the wild and sees going flow back to the hunter the only path to survival.
The animated film is a production of Iran’s Documentary & Experimental Film Center.
