Non-oil exports from Ardabil up
Iran’s northwestern province of Ardabil exported over 91 million dollars’ worth of non-oil commodities during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2018- February 19, 2019), marking a 141-percent surge in value compared with last year’s corresponding period.
The head of the Ardabil Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Ramin Sadeqi said that potatoes, tires, plastic products, dairy products and glass were among the main exported goods during the period, reported Fars News Agency.
Iraq, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan are among the major export destinations for commodities exported from Ardabil.
Economy Minister Farhad Dejpasand said on Friday that the country’s trade balance has improved in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), boasting that the plots to cut the country’s oil revenues to zero have failed.
Dejpasand said that Iran’s non-oil exports have increased over the past 10 months, up to January 20, and 85 percent of its imports pertain to raw materials.
