Parvin E’tesami’s International Festival opened in Tabriz in the presence of Persian literature professors from Iran, Turkey, Tajikistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan and Bangladesh.

Organized by the Literary Association of Tabriz and sponsored by the Directorate General of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Foundation for the Arts, Culture and Arts of Azarbaijan Province, and Shahriyan Research Foundation, Persian literature professors are providing an abstract of their articles on Parvin E’tesami and the position of her poetry and literature, Mehr News Agency reported.

Samad Rahmani, a professor at Tabriz University, said that “Parvin is undoubtedly the great lady of our poetry.”

Professor at the University of Zahedan, Maryam Jahantiq, in a paper titled, ‘Making a Narrative in Parvin Poetry,’ reviewed the characteristics of the deep structure and surface structure of Parvin E’tesami’s poetry.

Parvin was about seven or eight years old when her poetic ability blossomed. In 1921-22, some of her earliest known poems were published in the Persian magazine ‘Bahar’ (spring).

Parvin’s collection of poems (anthology) was first published in 1935.

Literary figures were familiar with her poems that were printed in Bahar journal, published by her father.

The second edition, edited by her brother, appeared shortly after her death in 1941. It comprised 209 different compositions in mathnavi, ghazal and qeta (Persian poetic styles).
