Iran’s Nabavi, Narimani top world para taekwondo rankings
Iran’s Seyyedeh Mahtab Nabavi and Ahmad Narimani topped their respective categories at the latest world para taekwondo rankings (World Para Kyorugi Ranking) released by the World Taekwondo, the sport’s international governing body.
Nabavi tallied 82.5 to retain her top spot in the women’s -58kg K41 category for the month of June. The Iranian was followed by Russian Sevil Abdulova.
In the men’s division, Narimani remained top of the +75kg K42 class with 176.3pts.
Mehmet Sami Sarac and Sefer Tayyip Harputlu, both from Turkey, followed the Iranian in the standing with 125 and 74.2 points, respectively.
Also in the men’s rankings, Iranians Saeid Sadeqianpour (-61kg K42) and
Mehdi Bahrami-azar (+75kg K43) stood second in their classes.
Mehdi Pour-rahnama finished the month in the third spot of the men’s -75kg K44 class.
