Kainos still ‘one of top places to work in UK’
BELFAST tech firm Kainos has been named as one of the UK’s best places to work.
The listed company, headed by Co Antrim man Brendan Mooney, came in at number 44 in the Sunday Times Top 100 ‘Best Companies to Work For’ — making the list for the fifth time in a row.
It also received a special award to recognise the company’s “on-going learning and development commitment through career coaching, mentoring and through funding staff skills development initiatives”.

Kainos plc reported 3% growth in adjusted pre-tax profit to £7m in the six months to the end of September.
Overall revenue for the first half of the 2016/17 financial year was up 9% from £37.2m on the same period a year earlier to £40.6m.
In October, boss Brendan Mooney said that lifting the top EY Entrepreneur of the Year gong was “an award for the whole company”.
He fended off several other leading NI entrepreneurs including Eamon Donnelly of Uform and Gareth Loye of M&M Contractors. Kainos now employs around 1,000 staff and is now one of only two Northern Ireland businesses to be listed on the London Stock Exchange.
