BELFAST accountancy firm Ross Boyd is opening new offices in Scotland and Dublin and hopes to grow its workforce to 50 within five years.

The company, which currently employs 10 staff in Belfast and London, says it will open its Glasgow office this summer, before expanding into the Republic by 2020.

The development marks an investment of £500,000 in the business.

The firm is also adding a premium service, designed to help businesses set up and grow.

Ross Boyd, managing director and founder, said: “Through Ross Boyd Wealth Limited and the support of our cloud partners we now offer a unique endto-end service for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

“This, in addition to our long-standing advisory services, has created a fresh new alternative to traditional accountants.

“This can be done for businesses anywhere, not just from our bases in Belfast, London or Glasgow, or within the UK and Ireland.”

Speaking about Brexit during an event held by the company to launch the expansion, Danske Bank economist Conor Lambe commented: “Article 50 has now been triggered but the negotiations will involve many complex issues that will take time to be resolved fully.

“Therefore, local businesses will continue to face high levels of uncertainty, but they should now be thinking through what different Brexit scenarios would mean for them.”
