Family and friends pay tribute after Bangor man’s tragic death

TRIBUTES have been paid to a young Co Down man who tragically died at the weekend.

Connor Browne (35) will be laid to rest tomorrow after he lost his fight for life.

It’s understood he spent several weeks in a coma before he passed away in hospital on Sunday.

The Bangor man, who worked in Asda’s home shopping department, was also a talented singer.

Hours after he passed away friends and family of the popular man posted videos of him singing in pubs across Belfast on social media. His death has sparked a number of heartfelt tributes on Facebook.

One friend posted: “Connor, I hope you’re at peace, sleep easy fella.” Another said: “Rest in peace my friend. You weren’t here for a long time but you had a good time.

“It was a pleasure to call you a friend. I have some great memories that I will never forget. You will be sorely missed”.

A number of his work colleagues also paid tribute to Connor who they said was a pleasure to work with.

In a death notice he was described as the much-loved son of Bernie and stepson of Lorina.

His funeral service will take place in S Clarke and Son’s Church, Bangor, at 10.30am with burial afterwards at Clandeboye Cemetery.

The family has requested donations be made to PIPS charity.
