UVF intimidation of Catholics disgusting and unionists’ response almost as bad
Matthew Halpin: It’s truly amazing the amount of people that are on here either trying to justify what happened or blame Sinn Fein for it.
Stevie Ritchie: Who said that it was the UVF though? The UVF have denied it and the police have not confirmed who made it.
Claire O’Heron: Stevie Ritchie, I’d say it was an educated guess. Do you want to have a look at the back story?
Billy Bop: Claire O’Heron, so society is run on educated guesses? No need for evidence?
James Boreland: Felton shared housing, Mill Road, Newtownabbey. Protestants didn’t get the chance to move in; tricolours were put up all around it and writing on the walls: ‘Protestants keep out’. Short memories.
Matthew Halpin: If that’s true, then nobody sane would try and justify such behaviour, but that’s not what this story is about now, is it?
Martin McGeown: James has forgotten about the loyalists doing it in Carryduff.
Owen McCann: Classic case of whataboutry. You can not just say that it’s a horrendous situation; you have to bring up another horrendous situation instead of condemning it all. I condemn all violence towards absolutely any resident of Northern Ireland, regardless of beliefs etc.
Claire O’Heron: Was it condemned by unionist politicians and in the strongest possible terms?
Eoin Taylor Ever heard of ‘two wrongs don’t make a right’?
Johnny McCallion: The only way to move on is to stop pandering to idiots like this and giving them a voice.
Alice Stewart McCracken: Probably some low-life getting other people a bad name.
Ire and McMicko: So, Alice Stewart McCracken, you’re saying the UVF aren’t low-lifes, but some low-life is giving them a bad name?
