‘I feel great after clocking up 15,000 steps in Aviemore’
Q Do you take any health supplements?
Not at the moment, but I had a sore throat for a number of months recently and I had a couple of jars of Manuka honey. And the sore throat has since gone away.
Q How do you take time
out?
I’ve been accused of not taking enough downtime although my voluntary work can be very satisfying. I have a large garden to maintain and we also love going to antique fairs every month. Going to watch my kids play club and school sports is also a great way to spend time with my family.
Q How well do you sleep?
I sleep well, usually up to six hours a night. I’m good at naps and can catch a quick 15-20 minute each day which recharges the batteries. Because of my back I can’t lie in bed so when I wake I need to get up straight away. Most mornings I am out of bed by 6.30 which is the best part of the day.
Q Do you worry about getting old?
No not really, as long as I am feeling well and making a difference in life then it’s not a major concern.
Q What is your go-to product/ habit that keeps you feeling healthy
Drinking water and my herbal teas; I am currently drinking my camomile tea. Not that I was fizzy drink person, but I have stopped all of them and just drink water or apple juice.
