ROOTS Paperboys ready to deliver a great show
Black Box, Belfast Monday, 8pm
The Bronte Centre, Rathfriland Tuesday, 8pm
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Vancouver-based band headed by multi-talented Tom Landa returns for two local gigs.
This much-loved folk-rock band has been touring the world with its freewheeling blend of influences from Celtic and bluegrass, to Mexican jarocho and Canadian roots.
The Paperboys have spent the past 25 years on the road playing all over North America and Europe, developing a large following without the aid of a record label or radio play to become a festival favourite at events like Vancouver Folk Fest, Edmonton Folk Festival and Tonder Festival. As always, I highly recommend this band for its live performances.

Island Arts Centre, Lisburn Tomorrow, 8pm
Indie-folk group Lore have had an incredible year since their last release, which included a haunting cover of iconic Undertones song Teenage Kicks. While writing songs for their next album, they have been supporting some of Ireland’s finest artists, including Mary Black, Cara Dillon and The 4 of Us. This will be a night of beautiful songs delivered by two outstanding vocalists.
