Why SF’s definition of equality is everyone else’s idea of inequality
Thomas McKinley: Hijacking legitimate causes, or just looking for equality, respect and integrity for all? Let’s be honest, if Arlene had stepped aside while an RHI investigation took place, the institutions would never have come down.
Paul McMorrow: ‘Hijacking’ is a good buzz word for people like Doug, though. Not that it matters, because the UUP/ DUP are the last people nationalists listen to when it comes to equality.
Scott McDowell: In an era of equality and respect, is it too much to expect republicans to extend it to loyalists? Loyal orders, bands, etc? We keep hearing these two words, but it’s high time SF practise what they preach.
Thomas McKinley: To quote George Carlin: “Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.” Scott McDowell is certainly one, as he’s proven above.
Jake O’Donnghaile: Scott McDowell, so tell me: when are loyalists going to show respect to nationalists? It’s a twoway street, dude. Get out of that glass house before stones are thrown. Peader Gearoid O Colgain: Unionists think Catholics, nationalists, republicans, the population of LGBTQ community, people who have abortions and the Irish are lesser citizens. They don’t even believe Britain shouldn’t be as socially liberal as it is.
Stuart Kelly: By the same logic then, Doug and his chums are opposing the aforementioned social issues. Why? To cynically promote their own agenda.
Maitiu Ciaran Mac Riceid: And if Sinn Fein have appropriated these issues, the question has to be asked why then is unionism so diametrically opposed to them? Because they’re Sinn Fein’s issues? That’s not a good enough reason for being against equality and rights for all.
