60 new homes for Ballyclare, and hundreds more to come

on a luxury development of 60 homes will get under way in Co Antrim this week — and it could be the first of hundreds of new dwellings for the area.

The properties at Neptune Group’s Ollar Valley project in Ballyclare go on the market this week.

A choice of nine house types will be available, ranging from smaller three-bedroom homes at £140,000, to larger and more spacious four-bedroom detached properties for £225,000.

Neptune Group director Creighton Boyd said: “There is a real demand for premium homes in Northern Ireland and we’re delighted to be providing a choice of properties that will appeal to local home buyers, particularly those considering buying their first homes, who demand exceptional quality and superior design without compromise.”

David Menary, head of Colliers’ new homes division, added: “Ollar Valley is located on the Templepatrick Road in Ballyclare, which is hugely convenient to the town centre and is just under 20 minutes’ drive from Belfast city.

“Neptune Group is a well-respected and established compaWORK ny that offer high specification homes finished with fine attention to detail, suitable for a wide range of buyers.”

The development could grow considerably in the future. It is understood Neptune has bought a large tranche of property in the area, which could lead to the construction of hundreds of more homes.

Neptune is also behind a grand series of homes in south Belfast. One of these is the pavilion conversion at the heart of the landmark Belvoir Park development, which launched this summer.

It features interiors created by design consultant Claire Hammond and is set within one of the original Edwardian pavilions at Belvoir Park.

Meanwhile, more than 1,300 houses could be built elsewhere in Co Antrim, along with a new motorway road link.

Developers have submitted a pre-application notice for the development of a link road on the M1 motorway at Sprucefield and the Knockmore Road junction outside Lisburn.

The application has been made by developer Neptune Carleton.
