NI BOATING HOLIDAY DEATH POLICE QUIZ MAN SUSPECTED OF WOMAN’S MURDER
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Lu Na McKinney in Co Fermanagh earlier this year.
The 41-year-old was arrested in Londonderry yesterday.
The mother-of-two from Co Donegal drowned after falling from a boat while on an Easter holiday with her husband and children.
The children — a boy aged 13 and girl aged 11 — were asleep when the incident happened while their hired cruiser was moored at Devenish Island, a popular visitor attraction.

At the time it was reported that Mrs McKinney had gone out to check the ropes to make sure the boat was secured to a jetty before going to bed.
Emergency services found her body and attempts were made to revive her, but she died in hospital.
In a statement the PSNI said it had carried out a review into the circumstances surrounding the death of the 35-year-old on April 13, 2017.
It added that it had been working with the Garda on the investigation.
Detective Inspector David McGrory said as a result of the
investigation, it had arrested the man on suspicion of murder.
He is currently in custody in Omagh where he is helping police with their enquiries.
Inspector McGrory added: “I would like to appeal to any witnesses to come forward, and also anyone who had contact with Lu Na McKinney, who lived in Convoy, Co Donegal, in the months preceding her death.
“Colleagues in An Garda Siochana are working jointly with PSNI to investigate Lu Na’s death and anyone with information can contact either the PSNI on 101, ext 40681; the confidential Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111; Garda at Letterkenny on 00353 749167100, or the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.”
Mrs McKinney was original-
ly from China. It is believed the family had lived there for three years before moving to Strabane, Co Tyrone, last year.
They then moved over the border to the village of Convoy in the Raphoe area.
Mrs McKinney was described by neighbours as the “nicest woman you could meet”.
A private funeral took place following her death.
