Christine to give evidence behind screen during trial of ‘stalker’

- BY ALLAN PRESTON

Evidence: Christine Lampard CHRISTINE Lampard is to give evidence from behind a screen in court against a man accused of stalking her for three years.

Yesterday aspiring actor Christof King (39) denied one count of stalking at Isleworth Crown Court.

It’s alleged he bombarded the former One Show presenter with unwanted letters, texts and emails, as well as turning up uninvited on several occasions to the £10m London home she shares with ex-footballer husband Frank (39).

King, of Mowbray Road, Brent, north-west London, is accused of causing “severe distress” to the Newtownards-born TV presenter between January 2015 and September this year and causing an adverse effect on her usual dayto-day activities.

He was bailed yesterday before a further court hearing on February 19 and trial, which is expected to begin on June 4.

Mrs Lampard (38) is expected to give evidence in court from behind a screen.

In the meantime, the accused has been banned from contacting the presenter or her husband and ordered by the judge not to attend any events the celebrity couple may appear at.

King has previously appeared as an extra in a series of low budget productions, student films and Secret Cinema shows, which combine live performances with movie screenings.
