Sinn Fein cannot hold democracy to ransom

-

WITH regard to the current Stormont talks, we only have to look at the recent antics of numerous Sinn Fein members to realise that they are not in the least bit interested in a genuine, peaceful agreement that would be to the benefit of all the people here.

These people laugh and scoff at the innocent victims of IRA terrorism, laud and eulogise dead terrorists and celebrate the anniversaries of some of the worst atrocities committed within these islands.

Those tens of thousands who continually vote for Sinn Fein have a permanently ingrained loathing and disgust for anything cherished by the majority community here.

On a daily basis, they demand respect, yet they disrespect our British culture and Protestant, unionist, loyalist identity.

They show nothing but disrespect and disdain for our national flag, our Royal Family, our armed forces, our symbols of Britishness and the reality of Northern Ireland’s constitutional position as an integral part of this United Kingdom.

In fact, they cannot even bring themselves to say the very name of this country — Northern Ireland.

The reality is there is not an ounce of decency anywhere within the DNA of militant Irish republicanism.

Just like a leopard, Sinn Fein have proven themselves to be incapable of changing their spots, so the decent people of Northern Ireland must now be allowed to move forward and work together in forming a government for all the people.

My message to Arlene Foster MLA, Nigel Dodds MP, Sir Jeffrey Donaldson MP, Gregory Campbell MP and David Simpson MP is that democracy must no longer be held to ransom.

The Provisional cult can have no constructive role to play in the good governance of a country they are committed to destroying.
