New practice puts focus on people and change
BUSINESS advisory firm Grant Thornton is opening a new department in its Belfast office focusing on people and organisations.
And it has appointed Patrick Gallen as a partner to head up the new ‘people and change consulting’ practice.
It will provide support to businesses who are making plans for the future of their workforce, including handling changes resultant from General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Mr Gallen has nearly 30 years experience in the field.
Richard Gillan, managing partner of Grant Thornton, said: “Patrick’s appointment is a significant step for Grant Thornton and one which will help facilitate our continuing exponential growth.
“With ongoing digital technology developments and the imminent introduction of GDPR, our new practice will help businesses across a wide range of sectors ensure they manage change effectively and maximise the opportunities that change presents.
“Patrick and his team will work collaboratively with our offices throughout Ireland and the UK to develop new propositions and present leading-edge solutions to the market.”
Mr Gallen said the new practice would be operating in “a period of great change for the country, the economy and our clients”.
