Personal plans take a back seat as Faloon eyes success on three fronts

COACH Willie Faloon had planned to go on a stag party this weekend — but that has been ruled out by three important fixtures in the next five days.

The first is this evening when SONI Ulster Rugby Premiership title holders City of Armagh face the formidable task of defeating in-form Banbridge (7.30pm).

Victory is essential for both as, although undefeated Armagh are on 15 points with a four-point advantage over Bann, their final game is at Malone, while their rivals should have few problems against City of Derry.

Malone are still in the mix with 15 points but only have that final fixture against Armagh.

Faloon’s second concern is City of Armagh 2nd XV’s Towns’ Cup semi-final tomorrow, followed by the Royal School’s involvement in the Schools’ Cup final against Campbell College on Monday.

“We will be reasonably strong for the Banbridge game but I have had to do a bit of juggling due to the stag party,” said Faloon. “Gareth NcNeice has been performing well for the 2s and he will be in the back-row while Cormac Fox will start after being on the bench recently.

“Winger Andrew Willis has been out since November and he makes a welcome return.

“Unfortunately we have been without a competitive game for four weeks unlike our opponents who had an AIL fixture against Ballymena at the weekend. Nevertheless we will do our best and do have home advantage.”
