SF MLA’s tweet linking RUC to Stone’s terror attack at funeral ‘ridiculous’

-

Dan Neville: RUC was nowhere to be seen when Stone was lobbing grenades at men, women and children. But, lo and behold, they turn up to rescue him. Not suspect at all.

William Bradley: God forbid they were trying to catch him, eh Danny boy.

Dan Neville: Yeah, after he’d emptied his gun and thrown his last grenade.

Jo Graham: Children should not have been there to see armed terrorists shooting over coffins.

Dan Neville: So, it was the kids’ fault, Jo?

Scott McDowell: Sure, they blamed the RUC for everything. Just another tactic to try and justify their sectarian slaughter.

Declan Burns: The truth hurts.

Scott McDowell: Declan Burns, republicans wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped them in the face.

Peter McAllister: I sat watching that programme and even the English people sitting watching it with me knew there was collusion. It’s not rocket science. The RUC were neck-deep in collusion.

Alan Evans: Who cares what he thinks, putting out tweets about things that happened 30 years ago while people are dying in hospital corridors?

John Porter: They certainly cleared the path for him and arranged his getaway.

Gordon Willis: Well done, Mairtin O Muilleoir. Another comment about the past to stir the pot and push our two communities further apart. There was wrongdoing by all sides during our troubled past.

Brenda Russell: They blame the RUC for everything, so this is nothing new.

Una Campbell: O Muilleoir is only saying what tens of thousands of people thought at the time.

David Dunlop: More like tens of people.

Una Campbell: If you watched the documentary, you’ll have seen for yourself the strange and bizarre change in policy by the then-RUC not to police the funeral. Strange, don’t you think?
