Harry’s wedding will be very special, say Charles and Camilla

PRINCE Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle is going to be a “very special day for everybody”, the Prince of Wales has declared.

Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall spoke during a visit to a flower market in Nice in the south of France.

He said: “It’s absolutely marvellous. It’s going to be a very special day for everybody.”

Asked what it has been like getting to know Miss Markle, Camilla said: “It’s very nice, all very exciting. We can’t wait.”

And asked about the arrival of grandson Prince Louis and the royal wedding in one year, she added: “Quite a lot. A few more to go.

“Zara’s got a baby coming.” The couple spoke about the May 19 wedding in Windsor on the way to the airport from Nice Flower Market, where they met stallholders and shoppers.

The visit was their final engagement in France before setting off for Greece and the next leg of their five-day tour.

When the couple land in Athens they will be welcomed by Kate Smith, the British ambassador to Greece.

Charles and Camilla will first head to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier where the prince will lay a wreath to remember the unknown and missing casualties of war. After paying their respects at the monument, the couple will meet the President of Greece Prokopios Pavlopoulos and his wife Vlassia Pavlopoulou-Peltsemi at the Presidential Mansion.

After a private exchange of gifts, Charles will arrive at the Maximos Mansion to meet the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras while Camilla will be escorted through the Benaki Museum by the prime minister’s partner Betty Baziana.

Before jointly attending an evening meal at the Presidential Mansion, the prince will also meet with the leader of the Greek opposition Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
