CIYMS aiming to tighten their grasp on the Premier crown

- BY IAN CALLENDER

CIYMS will want to prove that the race for the Robinson Services Premier League title is all over bar the shouting tomorrow when they travel to Moylena to face Muckamore.

A crushing 136-run win over defending champions and nearest challengers Waringstown last Sunday put the Belmont side four points clear with a match in hand and, after this weekend, their rivals will have only four games remaining.

Waringstown, the day before their Irish Cup semi-final, however, will not give up until it’s mathematically over and are boosted tomorrow for the visit of a still vastly under-strength Instonians by the return of James McCollum, but Ireland Wolves teammate James Shannon is again unavailable for the Belfast side.

Armagh need to win at least three of their last five games to avoid an immediate return to Section One but they head to Stormont tomorrow with no professional and only one win in their first nine games.
