Celeb couple tell of their joy,
NEW mum Christine Lampard has declared she is “so in love” with her baby daughter.
The TV presenter was clearly overjoyed as she revealed the birth yesterday, posting a snap of herself, football manager husband Frank and their new arrival, who they have called Patricia Charlotte Lampard.
They named her after Frank’s mother Pat, who passed away in 2008 aged 58 after a battle with pneumonia.
Christine (39), from Newtownards, announced the news via the photograph on her Instagram page yesterday morning.
The snap, taken from her hospital bed, shows Christine cradling her daughter with a beaming smile on her face while a smiling Frank stands above her with a tender hand placed on her shoulder.
In her post, Christine added the caption: “Let us introduce you to our little girl. Patricia Charlotte Lampard! We’re so in love @franklampard.”
Shortly after his wife shared the news Frank (40) took to his own Instagram account to repost the image, while Christine shared the picture on her Twitter feed.
Christine and Frank, who was very close to his late mother, met at the Pride of Britain Awards in 2009 and he later proposed while the couple enjoyed a holiday in America in 2011.
The couple had a four-year engagement before wedding at Saint Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, London, in December 2015, with Ed Sheeran performing at the Mayfair reception.
Frank, the manager of Championship side Derby County, has two other children — Luna (13) and Isla (11) — from a previous relationship with his former fiancee Elen Rivas.
Following his mum’s death the former Chelsea midfielder used to raise his hands towards the sky when he scored a goal as a tribute to her.
This Morning hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford sent their love to Christine, one of the show’s regulars, with Eamonn saying: “Well it’s all been happening overnight ... there’s news to announce!”
His wife Ruth added: “She looks glowing.
“I hope she wore her lipstick all the way through! Baby number one for Christine, how lovely!”
Christine announced her pregnancy on Instagram in May, sharing a family snap of the couple with Luna, Isla and their pet dog.
The news came just three months after she opened up on how much she would love to have a baby with the former England star.
Many on Twitter shared messages of goodwill to the beaming couple.
Derby County’s official Twitter account posted: “Congratulations to Frank and Christine Lampard on the birth of their baby girl Patricia Charlotte, from everyone at #DCFC!”
On Thursday Lampard was absent from team duties, with assistant manager Jody Morris appearing at The Rams’ prematch Press conference. Yesterday it was reported that Lampard is expected to be in the home dugout as normal for the Championship clash with Brentford at Pride Park stadium this afternoon.
