During an armed robbery in Omagh on Saturday, a gang of masked men entered a property, tied up the occupant and ransacked the house.

Similar tactics were used in an armed robbery in Co Fermanagh on Friday.

The robbery in Omagh took place at a house in the Dublin Road area.

Police received a report at around 9.30pm that a house had been entered by a number of masked men, one of whom was armed with a baseball bat.

A male occupant was tied up by the intruders and the house ransacked.

Police said a sum of money and a quantity of jewellery was reported stolen.

The occupant was not injured in the incident.

The intruders left the house and made off from the scene in the occupant’s brown Mercedes SUV.
