Northern Ireland will remain part of the UK after Brexit: Theresa May

-

Andrea Zuccaro:

Let Eire unite that’s the solution... time the Brits left once and for all. Ireland is a fantastic country and united can achieve much. Why be loyal to a crown that’s nothing to do with you? Think of your kids’ futures, that’s more important

GR Rutherford:

Sorry but I am thinking about my children, I prefer to live in the UK’s multi faith/culture society of 65m people, than the Republic’s very mono faith/cultural society. It is not rocket science.

Peter Kieran Ellison:

NHS and all the social protections we as taxpayers have paid into for years, yeah, just tear it up on a whim. As ideological as the vision that Brexit was sold on and as divisive no doubt.

Scott Davey:

When the south of Ireland can sustain itself without issues never mind the north then maybe we’ll talk about it.

Angela Duffy:

The sterling pound has fallen dramatically today. It soon will be worth about a penny. Good old Mrs May and the DUP. What chance do our children have for their future here in Northern Ireland!

Andy Phelan:

Remarkable how the DUP became the backbone of Mrs May’s Tory Government and through Brexit could ultimately lead to their own downfall and British exit from Ireland.

Maurice McGibbon:

I find this easy to solve. Put it to the people of the UK,all the people, if they think of letting North East Ireland stay in the EU and the rest of the UK can leave.

Ben Freeman:

What is clear is she doesn’t respect the desire of the majority in either Northern Ireland or Scotland that wish to remain part of the EU. I think that she doesn’t understand how Brexit will affect the Good Friday Agreement either.

Cathal McCloskey:

NI voted to remain so did Scotland... where does the PM get this bull from?

Stephen Moore:

Maybe the North should have a specific referendum on being part of customs union or having a hard border with no customs union?

Ryan Connor:

We are only being told what we are “allowed” to hear. Do you think Brexit is the opening for Ireland to unite?
