Actor Graham confirmed for Line Of Duty

LINE Of Duty producers have confirmed that This Is England star Stephen Graham will guest star in the forthcoming fifth season of the hit police drama filmed in Northern Ireland.

The Boardwalk Empire actor will join Jed Mercurio’s popular drama when it returns to the BBC next spring.

Last week a leaked photo showed the 45-year-old removing a balaclava. Line Of Duty posted the image on Twitter, saying “Welcome to the club”, while the Lancashire-born actor retweeted the message, adding: “Thanks for having me!”

The gritty show stars Co Fermanagh actor Adrian Dunbar, as well as Martin Compston and Vicky McClure, who are all currently filming in Belfast.

The show follows the investigations of detectives Steve Arnott (Compston) and Kate Fleming (McClure) as they tackle corruption within the force.

They work for AC-12 under the leadership of superintendent Ted Hastings, played by Dunbar.

Series five will follow a new case for AC-12, set nearly two years on from the drama’s previous instalment.

Graham will play John Corbett alongside Rochenda Sandall, who portrays Lisa McQueen — two pivotal figures in a deadly organised crime group.

Known to have links with corrupt police officers and suspected to be under direct command of the shadowy figure known only as ‘H’, Corbett and McQueen become persons of interest to AC-12 following an explosive chain of events.

Graham said: “It’s an honour to have been asked to be part of the Line Of Duty team.”
