THE grieving partner of the late Co Antrim road racer William Dunlop has released the first photo of the couple’s second child.

Willa Wren Dunlop was born on Saturday, September 15 weighing 8lb 15oz.

Janine Brolly, already mum to their twoyear-old daughter

Ella, was almost seven months pregnant when the 32 yearold sportsman was killed during practice for the Skerries 100 road races in Co Dublin on July 7.

Last night she posted the first official picture of the couple’s newborn baby daughter being tenderly kissed by her big sister.

The image was published on William’s official website under the heading ‘Our Little WD’.

Poignantly, Willa Wren can be seen sleeping on top of a pair of her late father’s famous racing gloves.

Turning to social media to announce the new arrival earlier this month, new mum-of-two Janine said: “She has the most amazing big sister and there is no question that Daddy would have been besotted. Grateful for two precious girls who are keeping my heart beating. Jan x.” Hundreds of family, friends and well-wishers congratulated Janine on her wonderful news on Facebook, and her post was viewed several thousand times.

William had been making his return to competition racing when he tragically died.

It was the latest tragedy to befall the legendary Dunlop dynasty, following the deaths of William’s uncle Joey and father Robert, both of whom died doing what made the Armoy brothers world famous.

Following the death of the hugely popular racing star, Janine has promised to tell their children about their precious father in the years to come.
