Heartthrob Dornan not shaken or stirred by Bond role rumours
FIFTY Shades star Jamie Dornan says it is “cool” to be one of the actors tipped as the next James Bond.
The actor from Holywood, Co Down, is among the many stars whose names are being linked with the coveted role when current Bond Daniel Craig hangs up his Walther PPK for the last time.
Dornan, who as well as starring as Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades franchise, won plaudits for his portrayal of a serial killer in the BBC’s psychological thriller
The Fall alongside The X-Files star Gillian Anderson.
But the local actor said he “doesn’t think” about playing Bond.
“You cannot really plan anything in this industry,” he said.
“I never have goals in it, really, I never have parts that I would want to chase or anything, just see what happens. But it’s cool to be in those conversations.”
The Ulster heartthrob is currently starring alongside Game Of Thrones’ star Peter Dinklage in the movie, My Dinner With Herve, which examines the life of Bond co-star Herve Villechaize. Other hotly-fancied names in the frame to take over the iconic 007 role include Bodyguard star Richard Madden (inset top), Idris Elba, (inset bottom) and Tom Hiddleston.
