Bangor legend Massey to reveal all about his key role at Anfield

BANGOR legend Andy Massey will return to Clandeboye Park on Sunday, November 18 to give a talk in Bangor FC Social Club about his journey from playing for the club to being a doctor at Liverpool FC.

The Seasiders hero will talk about his esteemed career at Bangor, his roles with the Belfast Giants, Linfield, the Northern Ireland football team and how he became Head of Medical Services at Anfield.

“Being a Bangor lad, I’m really honoured that my local club has invited me home to speak at this event,” said Massey.

“I hope to provide fans with a peek behind the curtain and what it is like to work with some of the top stars and managers in world sport.”

Bangor chairman Nicky Davidson added: “We are delighted that Andy has agreed to come to Bangor FC and talk about his fantastic career. This will be a chat not only about football, but about a man at the top of his career at one of the most legendary football clubs in the world.”

Tickets are priced at just £5 and can be purchased on the door, while lunch is also provided in the price of the ticket.

The event starts at 12.30pm. • NORTHERN Ireland Under-19s boss Stephen Frail has revealed his squad for their European Championsh­ips qualificat­ion series later in the month.

Northern Ireland are hosting the mini tournament, which takes place from November 1420, and will face Poland, Serbia and Kazakhstan for a place in the elite qualifying section next March.
