Randox creating 25 new IT jobs at its Antrim HQ

HEALTHCARE diagnostics firm Randox has announced 25 new digital jobs in Co Antrim.

The specialist IT roles ranging from software development to information security and web design will be based at its new headquarters, the Randox Science Park, at the former Masserene Barracks in Antrim.

Bought in 2015, Randox has pledged £161m for the new manufacturing and research facility.

When complete, 540 jobs will be based in the Antrim complex. The roles, which attract an average wage of £30,000 per year, are expected to generate £16.2m in annual salaries.

It will form one of four key company sites alongside operations in Dungloe, Co Donegal; Bangalore, and one in development in the Greater Washington DC area.

Randox now employs around 1,400 people in its global operation.

“The newly-refurbished IT facilities at the Randox Science Park in Antrim give the team there the platform to engage across a broad range of projects, to make a real and important impact upon global healthcare.” Randox IT Manager, Stephen Fawl said the new recruits will be “working at the cutting edge of technology and innovation”.
