Tinney marks 60th in style

During this month of November, Irish pianist Hugh Tinney will tour 12 venues around Ireland, celebrating his 60th birthday.
Audiences will hear works by Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Ian Wilson and Thomas Adés.
Since winning major piano competitions in Italy and Spain in 1983 and 1984, Hugh Tinney has performed in more than 35 countries throughout Europe, the US, Latin America and the Far East.
Tickets for his performance in Armagh’s Market Place Theatre tonight cost £15 (includes glass of prosecco) or £5 (students, concert only).

The Parish Church of St George, Belfast

In association with Moving on Music, Chamber Choir Ireland will continue its popular Before Bach and After series with a concert in the Parish Church of St George on Sunday.
Audiences can look forward to a programme that includes a diverse selection of choral works, including a triptych of compositions by Irish composer David Fennessy, the world premiere of his new work, Hashima Refrain, three JS Bach motets, and a selection of stunning 13th century compositions by Adam de la Halle, Guillaume de Machaut and Guillaume Dufay.
