Expansion of Co Antrim IT recycling firm will add 30 new jobs
A NEWTOWNABBEY-based company that specialises in the secure disposal and recycling of IT equipment has announced plans to add 30 new jobs.
AMI, which has grown from 25 to 60 staff in the last three years, has said it will invest £3.5m in acquisitions and recruitment, intended to grow the firm to 90 staff by 2021.
The company said the new roles will be created at its premises in Mallusk and in Dublin, which will also be expanded.
It is also seeking to acquire complementary businesses and IT installation companies in both the UK and Ireland.
It’s part of an aim to grow its recently-launched deployment and relocation service, which provides organisations with a secure way of managing IT refreshes and office moves.
AMI’s annual revenues have grown by over 50% in the past two years to £7.1m. The £3.5m investment has been raised by a £500,000 cash injection from investor Rob Clarke, retained shareholder earnings of £1.5m and debt finance of £1.5m. Mr Clarke will also be appointed to AMI’s board as chairman.
