Wealth manager Stanley sees ‘significant opportunity’ in the opening of new Belfast office
WEALTH manager Charles Stanley has opened its first office in Northern Ireland.
The company has established a new team within the Scottish Provident Building at Donegall Square West in Belfast City Centre. One of the oldest firms on the London Stock Exchange, Charles Stanley had £24.1bn of client funds under its management at the end of March.
The Belfast office will be jointly headed up by newly-appointed directors of financial planning, Alexandra Price and Neil Torney, who have both joined from Tilney. They report to John Redpath, the company’s Edinburgh-based executive director of financial planning.
It brings the wealth manager’s UK offices to 27.
Charles Stanley said it is currently in recruitment mode for the new Belfast base.
Managing director of financial planning at Charles Stanley, Andrew Meigh, said: “This new office now gives Charles Stanley overall coverage of the UK for
the first time. It follows on from our successful office opening in Glasgow earlier in the month and demonstrates delivery of our continued growth plans. Belfast has been highlighted as one of the UK’s fastest-growing financial services hubs and we see significant opportunity there.
“Alex and Neil both have excellent track records in helping clients to make the most of the wealth they have, and protect and grow it to meet their existing and future lifestyle needs.
“I am delighted to welcome them to the team.”
