Arlene Foster and Michelle Gildernew in tense exchange over hard border

-

Sandra Glover:

Arlene spoke well. Glad to hear her speaking up.

Teri Colgan:

I would rather hear her shut up.

Graeme Bowler:

That actually doesn’t make sense.

Shane Brogan:

The woman that told everyone that the RHI scheme was guaranteed?

Douglas Simmons:

Spoke well? She can’t even think well, let alone speak well.

Brian Wilson:

Arlene reminded me of Kevin and Andrew when they review the Press on Sky News.

Rob Pepper:

Not a great exchange. Still so far to go. Arlene won’t budge and Sinn Fein have no interest whatsoever in seeing Stormont up-andrunning again. One thing’s for sure: this attempt at taking the lives of security force personnel has absolutely nothing to do with Brexit. A fallacy and convenient excuse, Michelle.

David Strain:

It only takes one country (out of 164) to make a complaint to the UK about having an open border to stop the UK from exporting to the other 163 countries. That’s why the British will have to have a hard border, which breaks the Good Friday Agreement.

Paul Haim:

Does having gunmen on the streets and bombs being planted and detonated not break the Good Friday Agreement?

Glenn Keenan:

It’s funny how Sinn Fein always try to put the blame on the DUP. We had a deal proposed in 2017 that the DUP rejected, Gildernew says. So, more or less, they reckon that they call the shots and the DUP has to agree. And if they don’t agree, then they are to blame.

Roberta Harte:

Absolutely correct, Arlene.

Kevin Quigley:

All they were asked was to condemn the bombing.

Olive Brownrigg:

Two so-called ‘politicians’ not doing a day’s work for over two years and still they get publicity.

Glenn Hall:

A hard border might stop weapons coming in and out and the fuel smuggling. Who wouldn’t want that stopped?
