Dodds blasts Dublin for intransigence, but DUP comes under fire too

-

Dermot McLoughlin: Not often I agree with a unionist, but Sylvia Hermon was spot-on: the DUP do not represent the people of Northern Ireland; they chose to represent the minority that voted Leave. They’re basically fleggers.

Joesus O Murchu: They’ve nobody to blame but themselves. Forget the leaders of 1916; the DUP will be signing the proclamation for a new Ireland, because they have delivered it. Paul Harley: A united Ireland is coming and, thanks to every single Leave voter, it’ll be faster than we ever thought.

Tom Ferguson: Paul Harley, keep dreaming. All you can do.

Charlie Stewart: Tough, we are leaving. Get used to it.

Fiona Elliott: Dear Lord. Calling someone else “intransigent”? The DUP invented that concept themselves. Honestly, they need their heads examined.

Ann McEvoy McNeill: God love them, making statements like this is all they have left. Let them have their wee rant. We’ll be rid of them soon enough.

Robert Stevenson: Ann, dry your eyes. No Surrender.

Alex McKee: DUP give in to everything and people still vote for them. Sylvia Hermon and Jim Allister are the best — they speak the truth.

Ronnie Matthews: From a party who invented the word intransigence. You couldn’t make it up.

Donna Buick: From Northern Ireland’s business leaders, to EU leaders, to the rest of Northern Ireland’s politicians, why, Nigel, is your party the only one to back Boris’ new deal? Alarm bells are ringing. And trying to blame other leaders for the disastrous situation you are backing. Words fail me.

Liam O’Neill: Yes, Nigel, you are in power because your voters want to stay in the Union and don’t like Sinn Fein. But that’s it. DUP haven’t a clue about running anything. You consult the Bible but for guidance; now you are making statements about legacy. You couldn’t make this up.
