Ex-Tyrone GAA captain may vote DUP because of abortion reform

-

Jason Turner: How would she like it if someone came into her home and told her she had to make profound lifestyle changes, because they don’t agree with how she lives her life? I doubt anyone would appreciate that. So why is it seemingly okay to dictate someone’s choices regarding abortion? Keep your religious beliefs to yourselves.

Lea Scullion: At least she’ll be safe in the arms of the DUP.

Stephen Robinson: It’s a strange one for me, as I find myself siding with the Roman Catholic Church in debates with republicans (who would overwhelming be of that faith) on matters like abortion. All the republicans are hell-bent on saying it’s only a matter of time, with our birth rate. Well, hello? That won’t happen if you murder your unborn.

Gary Fenton: I hate the DUP, but I admire a shift in political thinking. Vote for who represents your values first — not who’s the same religion as you.

Daniel Donegan: Maybe she should grow up and start putting society’s actual ills ahead of her fear of a magic sky wizard, who was, if you read his only publication, a massive fan of killing kids. And everything else, for that matter.

Caroline Huggins: Who is she? Who cares who she votes for?

Steven O’Connor: I find it mental that even PUL vote for the DUP, never mind a nationalist ticking that box.

Brett Montgomery: You vote for the party that represents your values the most.

Brian Warnock: Nothing wrong with having freedom of choice.

Elmer Kerr: Didn’t hear her speak out about DUP stand on Brexit. Priorities.

David Mason: Their stance on it is irrelevant. Westminster are making it law.

Ray Scott: Nobody goes public with a “consideration”. That’s like me saying Celtic are no longer top dogs in Scotland, I’m thinking of supporting Rangers. Either make the change or button it.

Richard Doherty: Has to be crazy to contemplate voting DUP, with their 1800s views.
