Paula McCann: Thank goodness the school has taken this seriously.

Jenna Thompson: My hair and ‘accent’ got targeted so much in every school I went to, I ended up being at three in the end. Now that I’m a bit older, both those things that others picked on are two of my most complimented features. Kids can be so nasty, due to jealousy and personal issues.

Siobhan Kerr: I was bullied all through secondary school, because I was from the country and I was so thin. Now, I still get bullied because I look after myself and my appearance. It is all down to jealousy. No one can do right by some people.

Jenna Thompson: More people like yourself should make themselves known. What an example. Don’t let anyone bring you down.

Ann Lynas: Glad the police were called. My son was bullied at school and I gave the school the chance to sort it. But, in hindsight, it was severe enough to have called the police. Still have the evidence on my phone. Thankfully, for now, it has stopped.

Rosemary Blair: My grandson was bullied for three years and the school did nothing until my daughter said it was time to inform the police. Too little, too late.

Nikki Johnston: I threatened the school with the police. These boys were being sexual towards my daughter. It stopped instantly and they weren’t allowed near other kids at lunch and break time and I think they were suspended for a few days. Hate bullies so much. Hope everything sorted with your grandson now.

Rosemary Blair: He missed so much school. My daughter should have gone to the police. He is such a polite young boy, with a lot of health problems. The same school has a no-bullying policy. Very sad. If any child of one of mine had done anything like that, I would have been really upset and my child would have been made to say sorry and promise never to do anything like that again.

Roisin McGinn: Bullying is in every school. This one needs to be commended for excluding the perpetrators.
