Two arrests over £100k drugs haul

“Initially it is aimed at young women, but in the future we want to look at other devices for men, lone workers and elderly people who live at home alone.”

Referring to Monday’s award ceremony, Emma said that the occasion was extra special as many of those in the audience were engineers who they look up to.

“It was crazy and we didn’t expect to win it, but it felt amazing, especially in front a room full of such inspiratio­nal people,” she added.

“We’re really looking forward to the future and what this competitio­n will do for our future and the future products we will develop.” A MAN and woman were arrested after suspected drugs worth approximat­ely £100,000 were seized in Armagh.

A quantity of suspected cannabis was discovered after police stopped and searched a car on the Moy Road area of the city on Wednesday.

A 27-year-old man was held on suspicion of possession of class B drugs and possession of class B drugs with intent to supply.

Detective Inspector Colin Patterson said: “A follow-up search at a property in the Gough Avenue area of Armagh resulted in the seizure of approximat­ely half-a-kilogram of suspected cocaine.

“A 31-year-old female was arrested for supply offences.”

The man and woman remained in custody yesterday.
