Fionola Meredith: It’s time Stormont told us its exit plans

-

Desmond David Baker: Well, well. Here we go again. Another journalist thinking they know better than the professionals.

Rosemary Mccrory: Does it matter who and where they are reducing their lockdown? Lockdown here should be more strict. The amount of work vans on the roads again is unreal. Wait for the real surge.

Craig Mcghee: Most people don’t mind how long the lockdown’s going to last. They would rather be alive and well than coming out of lockdown too early and risking another wave of the virus and going through another lockdown again. So, for me, take your time, Government, when easing the lockdown.

Stephen Mcchesney: Couldn’t agree more with this article. Think Swann is so negative and dour and his delivery of the figures depends on the message he wishes to portray. Not the first time those in power treat us like imbeciles.

Christine Thompson:

I feel so sorry at this terrible time for those individuals who have been given the devastating news that they have an incurable illness and probably won’t be around next spring, so this might be their last. How are they and their families coping with the isolation? It must be just heartbreaking.

Raymond Mcfarland: As a whole, I think the Press have a lot to answer for. Why not put some effort into helping people’s fears? Nobody is interested in their own personal opinion.

Rachael Christina: Spain is only allowing people over the age of 14 out for exercise today. This is also timetabled so that the young and elderly have limited contact. Northern Ireland did not have these measures in the first place. Spain has been in lockdown for a lot longer and their policies/ enforcement have been stricter. Northern Ireland is not ready.

Aodhan Mac Artain: Swann and the entire Executive are totally out of their depth when dealing with real societal issues. Every one of them are brilliant at division, but when it comes to collective responsibility, it’s a concept too far for them.
