- BY GRAHAM LUNEY

LINFIELD will certainly look the part on their travels next season.

Fans can’t wait to get out and cheer their heroes on again after the Covid-19 crisis and the Blues will be sporting an eye-catching new away strip.

Purple with an orange diagonal stripe, and orange trim, it might inspire the champions to produce a few more dazzling performances next season.

Ladies player Kelsie Burrows and club captain Jamie Mulgrew dropped into Windsor Park to help unveil the new strip.

Supplied by Umbro, the 202021 kit (below) is now on sale at the Online Superstore.

David Healy’s men will be hoping it’s another case of Purple Reign when the action restarts.

Costing £50 for adults and £40 for kids (p&p not included), the new strip should be popular among fans.

Sales are only taking place at present via the Online Superstore and there is no click and collect option available as the Windsor Superstore is closed at present.

A club statement said: “Linfield FC looks forward to the day when this attractive new kit, excellently designed by our long-term kit suppliers Umbro, can be proudly worn in action by all our teams. Linfield are delighted with the kit and Umbro and everyone at the club is sure that our supporters will be equally delighted.

“Linfield FC wishes to place on record our sincere appreciation to our media partners at Pacemaker Press for their excellent co-operation in the provision of professional photographs.”

Further details regarding new Umbro training gear will be provided later this summer.
