UNITED’S COMEDY OF ERRORS LETS CHELSEA CRUISE TO FINAL

BRENDAN Rodgers has backed his Leicester City players to inflict Champions League agony on Manchester United.

The Foxes’ season rests on a make-or-break game at home to United on Sunday and the Carnlough man says his side will be “all in” for what is a “perfect” fixture.

City lost 3-0 to Tottenham yesterday, leaving them hanging onto a top-four spot and if United conquer West Ham on Wednesday, Rodgers’ men will have to claim victory on the final day to qualify for the Champions League.

Cup by Chelsea yesterday, are locked on 62 points with the same goal difference as Leicester who have played a game more.

Should the Red Devils beat West Ham and claim a draw at the King Power, they will be assured of a top-four finish at the expense of the Foxes.

“We go into a game next week with a fantastic chance to get into the Champions League,” said Rodgers (above).

“It will be absolutely perfect. It will be all in. The players have been fantastic, and we’ve got one last opportunity. Whatever the result was today, we needed a result next week.

“We need to draw on everything. For media and telly and everything, it’s an incredible turn-out that that’s the last game with so much on it.

“We’ve had two tough games. We need to get away and get a bit of recovery.

“The players, what they’ve done in the past 17 months, to put themselves in this position, it’s brilliant.”

All 10 fixtures on the last day take place on Sunday at 4pm.
