Special delivery: Blue Peter’s Adam buys mum new car for her birthday
BLUE Peter presenter Adam B’s generosity continues to shine after buying his mother a car for her birthday.
The Londonderry Youtube sensation, who bought his parents their dream home in 2019 and now employs them, tweeted a picture of himself, his mum Edelle, and her new Tesla — complete with a giant red ribbon — with the number plate, ‘OLDMUM’.
Posting the picture on his Twitter page yesterday, Adam, aka Adam Beales, wrote: “So lucky to be in this position. Happy birthday mum.”
Adam, who has more than three million subscribers to his Youtube channel, landed a presenter’s spot with Blue Peter lastyear.
Purchasing his mum a new car is not the first time Adam has shared expensive gifts.
In December, he surprised 14-year-old Stewart O’doherty after finding out that he was being bullied in school.
After reading a tweet from Stewart’s sister Molly about his ordeal, Adam bought Stewart £5,000 worth of birthday gifts to help him with his Youtube career.
It was a moment caught on video which the Youtube star plans to use as part of an anti-bullying campaign.
Stewart was stunned when Adam turned up at his Londonderry home with a laptop, cameras, microphones, speakers, Gopros and numerous other gadgets to help him start out.
Talking about his own and Stewart’s experience of bullying, he said: “Stewart’s case hit a nerve. I know exactly what he is going through. Being from the same town, same school and even having the same passion, I can fully relate to Stewart’s situation.
“I was very close to giving up so many times when I was at school.
“Being told by both pupils and even teachers to stop Youtube — it was a very stressful environment.”
