Reset will fall on the many

-

IT may seem premature to some, but, given the massive governmental over-spend during the era of Covid, perhaps now is the time to consider how these funds will be recouped by the Conservatives and their financial backers?

Under the current capitalist system, any policies of uber-austerity will fall heavily upon the working and middle classes, as was experienced after 2008.

You can be sure that the billionaires of the UK have been, and are, frantically moving their remaining monies and assets further offshore to avoid any new taxes that the Tories may feel obliged to impose upon them for the sake of appearances. Forewarned is forearmed in the world of finance.

The burden of financial reset will, therefore, be hefted onto the over-laden shoulders of the many, to save the glitzy epaulettes of the few.

Tory schemes will push that envelope as far as they can, yet try to avoid causing the citizenry to snap entirely.

Only early anger expressed publicly (by legal means, of course) will prevent the planned Tory hammer from falling onto those who should not have to take the hit.

Capitalist logic and history dictate what the Tories will try to do: it’s up to the people to put a stop to it.

If we beware the divide-and -conquer tactics of the past, ignore the little Tories and the Conservative fifth-columnists to be found in local politics and stand in defiance of the obvious greed of those with too much, we might ensure a smoother transition into relative normality after this crisis has abated.
