The DUP has allowed Sinn Fein to dismantle the Belfast Agreement

-

ON the DUP’S watch, Sinn Fein are making the Northern Ireland community lead separate lives as Irish/british and unionist/nationalist.

Power-sharing, under a DUP First Minister and ministerial majority, has allowed Sinn Fein to carve the Executive up into breakaway fiefdoms.

As a law-and-order party, the DUP are presiding over two-tier policing, dwindling respect for the law and no control over disorder.

People appreciate that leadership is not easy and, with the pandemic, is exceptionally difficult.

That, however, is no excuse to find that the Belfast Agreement, which was the expected pathway to peace and a better Northern Ireland, is being summarily dismantled by Sinn Fein.

So, come on, Arlene. Reflect on recent DUP leadership performances.

Unionists are fed up hearing fighting platitudes laced with toxic talk going nowhere.

Spell it out.

Are you promising that the outstanding issues surrounding the Bobby Storey funeral fiasco, the Northern Ireland Protocol and an Irish Language Act will be resolved to satisfy most unionists? If so, how and when?

You have staked your future on making specific demands, calling for PSNI Chief Constable Simon Byrne to resign.

But what is your next move if, as looks likely, he faces you down?

Spell it out. Precisely what terms and conditions will you impose which enable you to continue in good faith working with and having confidence in the Chief Constable?
