A letter from Santa Claus to Robbie and his Wicklow pals

-

Master Robbie Hoffman c/o Wicklow People Wicklow Town

Dear Robbie,

Thank you so much for your wonderful letter which arrived at the toy factory, Lapland a few days ago. Both Mrs Claus and myself really enjoyed reading it.

I am writing to you, Robbie, as you went to so much trouble doing such a lovely letter to us. A lot of other children in Wicklow, and other parts of the world, have written to me asking me to wake them up when I get to their house. Rather than sit and write to each of the children, I thought it would be quicker to write to you all in the Wicklow area through the Wicklow People, with just one letter.

As you will understand, this is my busiest time in Lapland making all the toys and making sure that they are put in the right place, for the right child on Christmas night. For this reason, I am sorry to say that I will not be able to wake you up on Christmas Eve. If I were to wake every child who asks me, I'd never get my work done in the time I have to do it. I know you will understand! I am looking forward to a nice rest when I return to Lapland, knowing that my job will be done for another year.

Robbie, I will look in on you very quickly on Christmas night – I will not wake you. I hope you like the presents that I leave for you and your sister, Amy. You have been such a good boy this year. You work so hard in school and I am so pleased you are doing well. Continue to enjoy your soccer and your swimming!

Thank you again Robbie for your lovely letter.

Be a good boy, Lots of love from Santa Claus
