Bag snatched from car on Christmas eve

-

AN ELDERLY woman was robbed in a Bray car park on Christmas Eve.

The local woman's bag was snatched from her car in the Herbert Road car park at around 12 midday on December 24.

The woman, who is in her 80s, had turned to speak to a person asking if there was a charge for the car park that day.

She put her handbag down on the seat during the conversation and when she turned around it had been taken.

' This was a particularly heartless crime,' said St. Fergal's Principal Joe Behan who knows the victim personally. 'I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward.'

He added that the council should have security cameras installed in their car park.

Bray Garda Station can be contacted on (01) 6665300.
