Inventor’s latest creation picks up an award

AN ARKLOW inventor is celebrating this week as his newest creation has won a prestigious horticultural award.

Dr. Abdul Hamid AlAmidi of Nemos Horticultural Ltd. is behind the first ever Irish entry to the title of Best Gardening Product of the Year in the British Horticultural Channel's awards.

He won the award on foot of his invention 'SuperNemos' a bioinsecticide which he created in his own garden shed.

Earlier this year SuperNemos which was trialed in the organic garden of An Tairseach, Wicklow town, where it proved to be more effective than any other product used on an organic garden.

Recent independent verification form a leading UK research institute has also confirmed the efficiency to be at an astounding 90 per cent.

Dr. Al-Amidi's latest award follows shortlisting for five national and international awards in 2012.
