SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the Cashin family on the death of their sister Sarah Kenny. Sarah who died on Christmas day is mourned by her husband Maurice, son Maurice, daughter Diane brothers Jack , Eddie, Robert and Pat, sisters Mary, Patricia and. Caroline and many relatives and friends. Sarah’s funeral took place in Prosperous last week. May Sarah rest in peace.

FLOWER/GARDEN CLUB

The January meeting of the flower club will take place on January 9th in the Jonathan Swift Community Hall at 8pm. This will be a slide show by June Blake award winning gardener. All welcome.

CARER AND TODDLER

Dunlavin Community playschool are starting up a new Carer and Toddler Group. The group will meet every Thursday from 1-3pm in the playschool. This is a great opportunit­y to meet other parents and have a chat over a cup of tea while the children play.

It also helps introduce young children to the playschool and makes it easier for when they start. Parents, Carers and Grandparen­ts welcome. Enquiries 045 406866.

LIBRARY OPENING HOURS

Dunlavin library opening hours are as follows Tuesday 6.30pm to 8.30pm, Wednesday 3pm – 5pm and 6.30 –8.30pm, Friday 11am –1pm and 3pm to 5pm, Saturday 11am -1pm. Closed on the Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends.
