The Cof­fee Dock Re-Opens: The Cof­fee Dock will re-open next Mon­day af­ter the 10am Mass.

Ad­vent Prayer Wall: The Wall was taken down on Sun­day De­cem­ber 23rd af­ter the 7.30pm Mass. The prayers will form part of the Prayers of the Faith­ful at all Masses on the week­end of the Feast of the Epiphany ie. this Satur­day and Sun­day.

Carol Con­cert Col­lec­tion: The col­lec­tion in aid of the Bray Com­mu­nity Food Bank amounted to €1,601. Thank you for your gen­eros­ity.

Christ­mas Dues: When re­turn­ing your Christ­mas dues en­velopes, please place them in the boxes which are fit­ted in the walls of the church bear the doors of the church. The next meet­ing of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety- the lo­cal his­tory so­ci­ety for Bray & North Wicklow - takes place on Thurs­day Jan­uary 17th at 8pm in Bray Cham­ber of Com­merce House, Quins­boro Road when the So­ci­ety's AGM will take place and all mem­bers are re­quested to at­tend.

The AGM will con­clude with a num­ber of short pre­sen­ta­tions, one of which will be ' Hid­den Se­crets of Bray ' pre­sented by Brian White. There will also be a num­ber of other short pre­sen­ta­tions. De­tails of the Spring 2013 Pro­gramme will be an­nounced at the AGM.

Prior to the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety's AGM, on Thurs­day Jan­uary 10th Brian White, Chair­per­son of the Bray Cualann His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety will present his lec­ture 'Some Dis­cov­er­ies in En­niskerry and Some Other In­ter­est­ing Sto­ries About En­niskerry ' to the En­niskerry His­tory So­ci­ety at 8.30pm in the Pow­er­scourt Arms Ho­tel, En­niskerry, and all are wel­come to at­tend, es­pe­cially mem­bers of other lo­cal his­tory so­ci­eties.

' The Drumm Bat­tery Rail­cars by James Scan­nell, ' The Put­land Fam­ily ' by Liam Clare, ' The Records of Louglin­stown Work­house and their Rel­e­vance to Bray ' by Ms. Eva O Cathaoir, ' St. Cro­nan's Teacher ', a photo fea­ture on Bray Red Cross, ' Some Bray Fam­i­lies ' which in­cludes im­ages and in­for­ma­tion pro­vided by Pat Egan, the Humphries / Ivory Fam­ily, The Byrne/James and Cran­ley Fam­ily of Win­gates, The Henry Long­more Fam­ily, The John­son Fam­ily, The Dempsey Fam­ily, The Kane / Buck­ley Fam­i­lies, The Cal­lis / O'Neill Fam­i­lies, are some of the items in­cluded.

The book is now avail­able from the Town Hall Book­shop, Florence Road, Bray, which also has copies of the pre­vi­ous Old Bray So­ci­ety pic­to­rial his­tory books in stock.


The Bray One Act Drama Fes­ti­val will take place in the mer­maid The­atre, Main Street, Bray, from Jan­uary 22nd to Jan­uary 26th.


Villa Pacis Re-Opens: The Villa Pacis re-opens to­day (Wed­nes­day). The Villa hours of open­ing are from 9am to 1pm and 6.30pm to 10pm. Other hours by book­ing only.

Queen of Peace Ad­ven­ture Youth Club will soon com­pile their pro­gramme for 2013. Present and past mem­bers are wel­come to sug­gest in­clu­sions by call­ing Al­bert on 087 6756439. It is ex­pected that the pro­gramme will have some new ex­cit­ing ven­tures de­mand­ing an ex­pan­sion of the lead­er­ship. Per­sons who have around three spare hours once a month, and would like involvement with the club may con­tact Al­bert.
