A Ti­na­hely Show Gen­eral Meet­ing will take place on Mon­day 7th Jan­uary at 8 p.m. in the River­side Busi­ness Cen­tre, Ti­na­hely. All are wel­come.


The Cool­fancy Na­tional School Par­ents' As­so­ci­a­tion have pro­duced beau­ti­ful cal­en­dars for 2013. They fea­ture class pho­tos of the pupils of the school as well as some lo­cal scenes. Cal­en­dars cost €6 each and are avail­able from the school and Coolboy Post Of­fice. The Par­ents' As­so­ci­a­tion would like to sin­cerely thanks the cal­en­dar spon­sors and pho­tog­ra­phers. We are very proud of our fi­nal prod­uct.


Ti­na­hely Na­tional School Par­ents Asso- cia­tion will be hold­ing a fundraiser for the school shortly. The Com­mu­nity is asked to keep any un­wanted good qual­ity cloth­ing items as there will be a col­lec­tion of th­ese early in the New Year. Sup­port is greatly ap­pre­ci­ated and fur­ther de­tails will fol­low


Thurs­day morn­ing and evening classes now avail­able - com­menc­ing Thurs­day Jan­uary 10th . Begin­ners will learn the ba­sics of cro­chet, learn best prac­tise with fin­ish­ing and handy tricks of the trade - in­clud­ing trendy Granny Squares. Con­tin­uer's will broaden their skill with new stitch com­bi­na­tions, learn to work out gauge/ten­sion, get help with de­signs. Ev­ery­one will gain con­fi­dence from mas­ter­ing a skill and en­joy the play­ful­ness of work­ing with colours and yarn! A big re­sound­ing Thank You is ex­tended to all our loyal pa­trons, friends and stall hold­ers who came to the Christ­mas Spirit Fair at the Court­house Arts Cen­tre on De­cem­ber 9th. You made the day, for that we are grate­ful! The raf­fle in aid of the Se­nior Cit­i­zen Din­ner raised €164 (all prize win­ners have been con­tacted di­rectly), while Tina and Bar­bara raised €120 in aid of the St Vin­cent de Paul. ICA guild would like to thank Ti­na­hely Show So­ci­ety for their very gen­er­ous do­na­tion to­wards the Se­nior Ci­ti­zens Christ­mas Party. We also re­ceived a gen­er­ous do­na­tion from the pro­ceeds of a raf­fle at the Craft Fair held in the Court­house Arts Cen­tre last Sun­day. Th­ese do­na­tions are very much ap­pre­ci­ated.

ICA ladies hosted the An­nual Se­nior Ci­ti­zens Party held in Mur­phys Ho­tel on Satur­day lst De­cem­ber. The evening was a great success. Mu­sic was by De­nis Mon­aghan, and a great evening of song, dance and po­etry was en­joyed by all.

The big raf­fle was held and here are the win­ners: lst prize €200 Ivor Kear­ney Ros­nas­traw, 2nd prize €100 Lor­raine Dunne Coolruss, 3rd prize Ham­per Mrs Harte, Church­lands. 4th prize Ham­per Tina Chris­tian­son, Cross­bridge. 5th prize Bot­tle of Whiskey, Garry Whe­lan, Kilkenny. A big thank you to all those who bought tick­ets for the raf­fle.
