A Tinahely Show General Meeting will take place on Monday 7th January at 8 p.m. in the Riverside Business Centre, Tinahely. All are welcome.

COOLFANCY CALENDARS

The Coolfancy National School Parents' Associatio­n have produced beautiful calendars for 2013. They feature class photos of the pupils of the school as well as some local scenes. Calendars cost €6 each and are available from the school and Coolboy Post Office. The Parents' Associatio­n would like to sincerely thanks the calendar sponsors and photograph­ers. We are very proud of our final product.

SCHOOL FUNDRAISER

Tinahely National School Parents Asso- ciation will be holding a fundraiser for the school shortly. The Community is asked to keep any unwanted good quality clothing items as there will be a collection of these early in the New Year. Support is greatly appreciate­d and further details will follow

CROCHET CLASSES

Thursday morning and evening classes now available - commencing Thursday January 10th . Beginners will learn the basics of crochet, learn best practise with finishing and handy tricks of the trade - including trendy Granny Squares. Continuer's will broaden their skill with new stitch combinatio­ns, learn to work out gauge/tension, get help with designs. Everyone will gain confidence from mastering a skill and enjoy the playfulnes­s of working with colours and yarn! SPIRIT FAIR THANK YOU

A big resounding Thank You is extended to all our loyal patrons, friends and stall holders who came to the Christmas Spirit Fair at the Courthouse Arts Centre on December 9th. You made the day, for that we are grateful! The raffle in aid of the Senior Citizen Dinner raised €164 (all prize winners have been contacted directly), while Tina and Barbara raised €120 in aid of the St Vincent de Paul. ICA NOTES

ICA guild would like to thank Tinahely Show Society for their very generous donation towards the Senior Citizens Christmas Party. We also received a generous donation from the proceeds of a raffle at the Craft Fair held in the Courthouse Arts Centre last Sunday. These donations are very much appreciate­d.

ICA ladies hosted the Annual Senior Citizens Party held in Murphys Hotel on Saturday lst December. The evening was a great success. Music was by Denis Monaghan, and a great evening of song, dance and poetry was enjoyed by all.

The big raffle was held and here are the winners: lst prize €200 Ivor Kearney Rosnastraw, 2nd prize €100 Lorraine Dunne Coolruss, 3rd prize Hamper Mrs Harte, Churchland­s. 4th prize Hamper Tina Christians­on, Crossbridg­e. 5th prize Bottle of Whiskey, Garry Whelan, Kilkenny. A big thank you to all those who bought tickets for the raffle.
