Des Willoughby
I REGARD this time of the year as a time to reflect on the things that are important in life, like family and friends. The old cliche of getting back to the gym applies-I've lost five stone weight over the last number of years so really just to try and continue on a healthy eating and exercise regime.
I'm also planning to play more handball with an aim to competing in the next World championships as I really enjoyed participating in the 2012 Championships and I was delighted that my father Richard and my two brothers Robbie and Sammy won world titles.
I will be busy both with my solo performances and with The Willioughby Brothers; we have tours to the U.S in March and April so there's a lot of preparation work with those trips.
We are back in the studio in January recording our second album so we are in the process of selecting songs for that at the moment, and we also have a concert in the Amber Springs Gorey on Sunday, January 20.
I really enjoy meeting new people and building new friendships so hopefully that will continue in 2013 as we get to travel and tour more.
Overall I really hope 2013 will be a very productive and successful year.
My biggest wish for 2013 is that my family and friends stay healthy, safe and happy throughout the year, and that things get a little easier for anyone that is going through a tough time at the moment.
