Large disparity between houses of similar sizes

THE LATEST Daft. ie report shows a large disparity between houses of similar size in County Wicklow and its environs.

When it comes to one bed homes Wicklow is more expensive than similar properties in Kildare, Wexford and Carlow.

However, as expected it is significan­tly cheaper than similar properties in South County Dublin.

A one- bed property in Wicklow has an average price of € 97,359 compared to Kildare (€ 77,958), Wexford (€ 55,041) and Carlow (€ 58,325). South Coun- ty Dublin has an average price of € 185,939 for one bed properties.

The trend continues for all other properties with Wicklow being dearer than all neighbouri­ng counties with the exception of South County Dublin.

Two- bed properties in Wicklow have an average price of € 127,441 while three bed properties sell for an average of € 154,861.

Four- bed properties have an average selling price of € 230,210 while five bed properties go for an average of € 279,910.

In Kildare the average price of properties is € 102,045 ( two bed), € 124,001 ( three bed), € 184,334 ( four bed) and € 224,131 ( five bed).

In Wexford the average price of properties is € 72,047 ( two bed), € 87,549 ( three bed), € 130,146 ( four bed) and € 158,243 ( five bed).

In Carlow the average price of properties is € 76,346 ( two bed), € 92,773 ( three bed), € 137,913 ( four bed) and € 167,687 ( five bed).

In the South County Dublin area the average price of properties is as follows € 267,461 ( two bed), € 332,678 ( three bed), € 458,459 ( four bed) and € 588,795 ( five bed).
